Back to School Bootcamp: Empowering Connection
Hey, K-2 teachers! It’s BACK TO SCHOOL time again!!! Are you a brand new teacher needing help and support to start the new school year? I’ve created a First Week of School BOOTCAMP called Empowering Connection just for you!

In this First Week of School BOOTCAMP, you will receive 6 Hours of CPE Credit, Lesson plans with objectives, suggested mentor texts, differentiated interactive notebooks, anchor charts and how to teach the “I Do, We Do, and You Do”, 7 LIVE Training Videos in a Private Facebook Group, access to my Back to School Resources, and a one time payment of $35.00.
Guess what? I’m CPE certified. If you don’t know what CPE stands for it’s Continuing Professional Education. Once you have registered, you will receive an email that will give you directions on how to join the private Facebook Group. So, don’t forget to check your email!
Training #1: Classroom Systems
I don’t know about you, but I’m VERY OCD, so when it comes to classroom systems, I’m your gal! I love to have everything in its place and I also teach my students how to organize and clean up their supplies as well. I love coming into a well-organized and clean classroom every day and I’ll teach you how to do it! You will LOVE my tips and tricks that I’ve established over the years that really help you streamline your classroom so you will have less stress with no mess!
In training #1, I will share how to organize your classroom, your student supplies, student nametags, handing in work, how I organize my mentor texts, and units, rules and procedures for the classroom, cafeteria, and dismissal, and how I organize my materials and supplies for the week.

In training #2, I will share with you the first 5 days of Reader’s Workshop.
Lesson 1: Why Do Readers Read?

Lesson 3: How Do We Treat Books?
Lesson 4: Can’t Is Buried
Lesson 5: What is Your Schema?
I will show you how to get your ELA block off the ground using the “I Do, We Do, and You Do”, rigor and relevance, mentor texts, anchor charts, interactive notebooks, differentiation, introducing rules and procedures. I explicitly teach you how to use the “gradual release of responsibility” within your lesson. I believe by teaching this way, you will gain successful and independent readers who will love to read!
I will show you how I use my “Schema Notebook” which is my reader’s notebook for reading comprehension and how I hold my students accountable for their work each day. For this training, you will receive a 5 day lesson plan with all of the examples shown in the training.

Training #3: The First 5 Days of Writer’s Workshop
For this training, I will share the first 5 days of how to get your Writer’s Workshop block off the ground.
Lesson 1: Write From Your Heart

Lesson 5: Creating Mental Images

Many teachers struggle with teaching writing, but this is my strength. My students love writing and they ask to write all day long! During this training, I will show you how to get your math block off the ground with these lessons:

Training #5: The First 5 Days of Science
In this training, I will share ideas for the first 5 days of introducing your Science Unit:

Lesson 5: What Are Science Tools?
These lessons include objectives, rigor and relevance, suggested mentor texts, differentiated interactive notebooks, science investigation and experiments, writing craftivities, anchor charts, and how to set up your theme center, and science center. This unit is all about introducing science, what is a scientist, and the scientific method using an easy and simple experiment! For this training, you will receive a 5-day lesson plan with all the examples shown in the training.

Training #6: Building Relationships with Students and Parents
Training #6 is Building Relationships With Students and Parents- effective morning meeting ideas using mentor texts, activities, and games, how to introduce rules and procedures with a social contract, teaching conflict/resolution, how to utilize a star student and peer facilitator, effective parent communication and relationships, and how to have an impactful first impression at Meet the Teacher Night.
In this training, you will receive these 4 resources: Show Me The Money Behavior Management using Bonus Bucks, School Supply Labels for Meet the Teacher Night, Transportation Tags, and Editable Classroom Forms for Students, Parents and Teachers!

Training #7: Launching Literacy Centers
I’m so excited about this last training- I know it’s going to blow your socks off! In this training, I’m going to teach you how I launch my 20 Literacy Centers from day 1 and all the rules and procedures I teach my class for each center. You are going to get 2 Free Literacy Center resources that include: center icons, center templates and “I CAN” cards to go with each center.
I will share how I keep my students accountable at their centers using a center template and folder, how I have them turn in their pages for bonus bucks, how I organize my centers, how I manage the rotations, and which centers I switch out weekly, monthly or not at all. You will get an inside peek at my 20 Literacy Centers and come away with many tips and strategies to launch in your new classroom!
